IMR’s activities for the first two years are designed around the modernization of Russia and focus on three primary areas:
• Institution-building;
• Rule-of-law; and
• Free economic development.
These activities target not-for-profit organizations interested in U.S.-Russia relations, think-tanks, human rights organizations and young people interested in Russia’s political, economic and social development.
One of IMR’s immediate tasks is to engage its target audience in a discussion about the concept of modernization and how the U.S. can assist the Russian leadership and civil society in achieving the transition to a modernized Russia.
